Your content should be interesting, relevant, and optimized, no matter how long it is.
Ahrefs Study Results Shed Some Interesting Light
A recent Ahrefs study determined that the average high-ranking page was around 1900 words long. The majority of well-written and optimized pages contained at least 1500 to 1900 words in them. This would seem to indicate that writing longer posts at present will earn you more revenue.
Pages that exceed 1900 words tend to earn two or even three times more than those even slightly below that amount. It also discovered that these high-ranking pages were able to fit anywhere up to 1000 keywords into a single 1900-word piece of content. Imagine the possibilities!
While this won’t be the case forever, it would appear that aiming for a slightly longer piece of content is far more viable for the moment. Do remember, however, that you must still create interesting, high-quality content when you do this. A fluff piece will get you nowhere!
